Hand-felted wild silk tapestry —co-created with Tanana Madagascar and CPALI in the rainforest corridors of northeastern Madagascar. The silk is harvested from wild cocoons from the local forests, making each tapestry a product of its specific ecosystem as much as its makers.
This print is inspired by Tanana Madagascar’s original wild silk work, ‘Folera Mena’
Tanana Madagascar receives an artisan royalty of 15% of gross sales from every print sold, paid quarterly for the life of the edition.

Lisa Boepens is a San visual practitioner whose work centers on the natural world - flora, animals, and the land as lived knowledge. Working primarily in oil and watercolor on paper, her paintings draw on close observation and cultural memory, rendering plants and wildlife not as distant subjects but as familiar presences.
Proud Mary acquired this original work through Omba Arts Trust, an organization that since 2002 has worked alongside emerging San artists in remote regions of Namibia.
In addition to the upfront commission fee, 50% of the profit from the sale of this original work will go directly to Lisa.
