Hand-felted wild silk tapestry —co-created with Tanana Madagascar and CPALI in the rainforest corridors of northeastern Madagascar. The silk is harvested from wild cocoons from the local forests, making each tapestry a product of its specific ecosystem as much as its makers.

In addition to the upfront commission fee, Tanana Madagascar receives 50% of the profit from the sale of this original work.

Tanana Madagascar

Tanana Madagascar artists transform one of the world’s rarest wild silks into extraordinary textile art. The silk exists because of another remarkable partnership with CPALI (Conservation through Poverty Alleviation International), which works alongside farming communities to restore the endemic forests that the wild silkworms call home.

Together, they remind us that every work of art begins with something worth protecting - an ecosystem, a tradition, and a way of seeing the world.
