Santa Catarina is made up of Silvia, Julieta, Rebeca, and María Ananí from Pantelhó, Chiapas. Silvia learned backstrap weaving from her mother Polonia, and passed it on to her daughters — turning the craft into an intergenerational practice, a form of expression, and a way to stay connected to their heritage. These cards are inspired by Santa Catarina's original backstrap woven work, Polonia.
